What you’ll get

Useful from the first page.

A budget spreadsheet that works the way you actually get paid. Set it up once, log your money as it comes and goes, and the planner does the math.

Built around real paychecks

  • Pick weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly or irregular pay. Bi-weekly and weekly months with an extra paycheck are flagged automatically.
  • Enter your gross pay and deductions (tax, retirement, health insurance) and it works out your take-home.
  • Freelance or variable income? Mark your essential bills and each month tells you whether you've covered essentials, your full budget, or have extra to put toward goals.
  • Leftover money rolls into next month, so your balance is always real.

What's inside

  • Setup: your categories, budgets and paycheck in one place. Rename a category once and it updates everywhere.
  • 12 monthly trackers: income log, 150 transaction rows, budget vs actual with amber and red warnings when you're close to or over budget.
  • Quick Log: a narrow three-column tab made for your phone. Log a purchase in seconds and it lands in the right month.
  • Annual Overview: income, spending, savings rate and spending by category for the whole year, with charts.
  • Savings Goals: set a target and date, see how much to save each month.
  • Debt Payoff: debt-free date, interest left, and both snowball and avalanche payoff order.
  • Bill Tracker: due dates, autopay and a Paid/Unpaid tick for every month.

Works with

Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and Apple Numbers. Built with standard formulas, so you won't hit Google-only functions that break in Excel. For Google Sheets, upload the file to Google Drive and choose File > Save as Google Sheets. A free Google account is all you need.

Good to know

  • This is a digital download (.xlsx file). Nothing physical will be shipped.
  • Currency symbol can be changed in one cell.
  • Sheets are protected without a password, so you can't break a formula by accident, but you're free to unprotect and customise.
  • For personal budgeting only. Not financial advice.
